Who we are

Bravo MedSpa is a nurse-founded medical aesthetics practice with two Connecticut locations.

Founded by Alica Bravo, RN, to combine clinical medicine with editorial-quality aesthetic care. We operate from 61 South Main Street in West Hartford's Blue Back Square neighbourhood and 825 Cromwell Avenue in Rocky Hill. Every injectable is performed by a licensed nurse injector, every treatment by a Connecticut-licensed practitioner under medical supervision.

Philosophy

Threeideas.Onepractice.

"I loved art and aesthetics in my youth. I continued on and became a nurse because of my love of helping and caring for people. Science and the medical profession allowed me to be a healer and provider — and to make a difference in the paradigm of health. Self-care introduced me into the beauty world. Now, I incorporate all three." — Alica Bravo, RN
1

Art

An artist's eye for symmetry, proportion and natural beauty — every treatment is composed, never overdone

2

Science

Clinical training, evidence-based protocols and HIPAA-grade care — under Connecticut medical supervision

3

Self-Care

Aesthetics in service of how you feel — confident, rested, and unmistakably yourself

Why a nurse-founded practice matters in Connecticut

The rules in Connecticut aren't loose — and we don't want them to be.

Connecticut General Statutes § 19a-903c restricts who can inject neuromodulators and dermal fillers. Physicians, physician assistants, advanced-practice registered nurses, and registered nurses operating under medical supervision — nobody else. Aestheticians and technicians are not permitted to administer injectable aesthetics in this state.

Alica built Bravo MedSpa as a nurse-founded practice because that oversight structure is a feature, not a formality. Every consultation includes a medical intake. Every treatment is documented in a HIPAA-compliant record. Every outcome is tracked. When we recommend a plan, it's because a trained medical professional — not a front-desk salesperson — has reviewed your candidacy.

In a state where some practices hire injectors off a one-weekend certification, we staff exclusively with licensed RNs who complete continuing education through the Allergan Medical Institute, Galderma, and manufacturer-led cadaver labs on an ongoing basis.

Two locations

Twocities.Oneclinicalstandard.

We chose West Hartford for its density of insurance professionals and bridal calendar; we added Rocky Hill to serve a south-metro catchment that was underserved by aesthetic medicine. Same team, same products, same protocols — just closer to you.

What we won't do

Fourthingswerefusetocompromiseon.

1

We under-correct first.

Most clinics try to give you what you asked for. We give you about 70% of it and invite you back at two weeks. It costs us revenue and it saves every first-time client from the frozen face they feared.

2

No AI before-and-after photos.

Connecticut medical board rules — and our own ethics — forbid synthetic outcome imagery. Every real before/after you see from Bravo is a real patient with a signed release, unretouched.

3

We will turn you away.

If your expectations don't match what the treatment can do, if your anatomy isn't suited, or if you're a poor candidate medically — you'll hear that at consultation. Honesty is cheaper than a disappointment.

4

Brand-neutral injectables.

We carry all four FDA-approved neurotoxins — Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau. You're matched to the right product for your face, not the one the clinic happened to negotiate.
