Let me be honest about this
Why most $150 facials don't really do anything.
I spent eight years in the traditional spa industry before I came into medical aesthetics. I worked in boutique spas and the spa wings of luxury hotels. I did a lot of facials. And I can tell you that the standard $150 spa facial — the lovely 60-minute experience with the aromatherapy and the warm steam and the light extraction and the face mask — does not meaningfully change anyone's skin.
This is not the spa's fault. It's not the aesthetician's fault. It's the physics of what topical skincare can reach in the twenty minutes a product sits on your skin. The active ingredients in most spa serums barely penetrate the epidermis during a treatment window. You get the sensory experience, the relaxation benefit, some debris clearance — and the visible "glow" you see afterwards is largely temporary hydration and mild microcirculation from the massage. Real for 24–48 hours. Gone by the end of the week.
DiamondGlow is different because of the infusion step. The diamond-tip wand creates a very brief window where the epidermal barrier is suppressed and the SkinMedica serum is delivered into that window rather than sat on top of it. The vacuum stage clears the surface debris that would otherwise absorb and waste the serum. These two mechanical steps exist specifically so that the active ingredients actually reach the layer where they can do something.
I'm telling you this because I don't want you to book DiamondGlow expecting it to be a fancier version of the spa facial you had last year. It's a different kind of treatment that happens to look similar from the outside. Cleanse and prep
Double cleanse, skin mapped. Treatment area blocked — usually full face, sometimes neck and décolletage included on membership.
Diamond-tip pass 1
The exfoliation + vacuum wand passes across face systematically. You feel mild suction and a cool sensation.
Targeted extractions
Diana returns to congested areas — forehead, nose, chin usually — for a slower, deeper pass with the extraction function engaged.
Serum infusion pass
Same wand, now delivering your chosen serum into freshly-treated skin. This is the step that separates DiamondGlow from a standard facial.
LED + finish
Optional 10-minute LED red light finish (complimentary for members). Sunscreen applied. You leave ready for the rest of your day.
