Is the consultation really free?

Yes — every first appointment is a 30–45 minute complimentary consultation. We review your goals, medical intake, and skin, then build a written plan. No treatment is performed without your written consent.

Which location should I book?

West Hartford serves the north and west metro. Rocky Hill serves the south metro and Glastonbury via the Putnam Bridge. Both offer identical services and providers rotate between them.

What's the cancellation policy?

We ask for 24 hours' notice. Same-day cancellations may incur a $50 fee. No-shows forfeit any deposit.

How long does a consultation take?

30–45 minutes for first-time clients. Return consultations (for a new treatment) are usually 20 minutes.

Is cosmetic treatment covered by insurance?

No. Cosmetic medical aesthetic treatments are not covered. Some medical-indication Botox (masseter/TMJ, chronic migraine, hyperhidrosis) may be covered with documentation — we'll discuss eligibility at consultation.

Do you accept HSA/FSA?

Yes, for eligible services — which is a narrow list. Most cosmetic treatments are not HSA/FSA-eligible. Medical-indication Botox is sometimes eligible. We'll confirm at consultation.

Do you offer financing?

CareCredit is accepted. Package pricing is available on CoolSculpting, laser hair removal, and RF microneedling series.

Are your prices per unit, per syringe, or per package?

Accepted Answer

Botox is per unit. Fillers are per syringe. CoolSculpting is per cycle. Laser is per area per session. We don't sell unclear 'area' packages that round up your usage.

Who can legally inject Botox in Connecticut?

Under CGS § 19a-903c, injectable aesthetics can only be administered by MDs, PAs, APRNs, or RNs under medical supervision. Every Bravo injector is a Connecticut-licensed RN. Read our full CT injector guide.

Is there a medical director?

Yes — Dr. Nicole Saunders is our Medical Director and oversees both locations. Required by CT law for any practice performing injectable aesthetics.

Can I verify my provider's license?

Yes — the Connecticut DPH eLicense lookup is public and free. We display all credentials on our walls and list team bios on our Bravo MedSpa team.

How long does Botox last?

3–4 months for most clients on most areas. Masseter and trapezius Botox often last 5–6 months because the muscles are larger.

Will Botox make me look frozen?

Accepted Answer

Not with the dosing we use. The frozen look comes from over-correction. Our default is conservative, with a two-week review to add only where needed.

How many CoolSculpting cycles will I need?

1–2 cycles per area for most clients. Larger areas (lower abdomen, flanks) sometimes need 2 cycles per area. Mapped at consultation.

When will I see results?

Botox: 7–14 days. Fillers: same day (settle at 2 weeks). CoolSculpting: 8–12 weeks. RF microneedling: 4–12 weeks progressive. DiamondGlow: same day.

Can I combine treatments?

What should I do before my appointment?

Skip blood thinners (fish oil, NSAIDs, alcohol) 24–48 hours before. Arrive clean-faced. Eat a full meal beforehand. Bring your medication list. Read our full preparation guide.

Can I exercise after Botox?

Skip exercise for 24 hours. Stay upright for 4 hours post-treatment. These reduce migration and bruising.

How long until I can wear makeup?

For Botox and filler: wait 24 hours on the treatment area. For RF microneedling: typically 24–48 hours (until the skin's natural barrier restores). For DiamondGlow: immediately.

When can I do facials or peels after injectables?

Wait 2 weeks after Botox or filler before any facial or peel. The product needs to fully settle, and we don't want pressure treatments moving it around.

Are both locations held to the same standards?

Yes — identical protocols, EMR, products, and provider training. Medical director oversees both.

Can men book at Bravo?

Absolutely. Roughly 20% of our client base is male, primarily for Botox (crow's feet, masseter/TMJ), laser hair removal, CoolSculpting, and IV hydration.

Is Bravo MedSpa an IV bar?

Accepted Answer

No. We offer IV hydration as one of fourteen services, administered by RNs under Medical Director oversight with full medical intake. We're a medical aesthetics practice, not a walk-in drip bar.

Do you use AI-generated before/after photos?

Accepted Answer

Never. Connecticut medical board rules (and our own ethics) prohibit synthetic outcome imagery. Every before/after we publish is a real patient with a signed release.
